Game survey.

Alberta relm game survey sucks this year as well. Wont submit info then it come up next year as incomplete and they charge ya more. Bull****.

The harvest survey? I just did mine. Took about 30 seconds. One of the questions was to rate my experience. Not sure what difference that makes. It could have been better. My buck had cwd lol.

Did mine in no time at all, mind you I do mine on my laptop not on the app on my phone

Did mine for the whitetail I didn’t harvest. Took less than 30 seconds online on the phone (not through the app, but the web).

Were they always for every license you held?
I thought they were for special draw license's only?

I just did mine on the app.
I often complain about the app, but it went smooth for me.
Bought 3 tags, did 3 reports, didn't take much time at all.
The questions are silly, though.

This is not exactly correct.
They may ask for you to complete more than just the special license draws, but only the draws are mandatory.
All others are voluntary.

Game harvest reporting is mandatory for all Special Licences and must be completed by February 15th of each year. If there are pending harvest surveys in RELM from the previous season, a $15.00 + tax surcharge will be added to your 2023 purchase in compliance with the regulation

Did you perhaps get drawn for something you didn't realize you were drawn for, or forgot about?

Thanks for posting that from the regs CB, that must have been what I saw previously that caused me to ask.

That’s how I understood it too but the kids and I show most of our surveys are for non-draw licences, what gives?

As I said, they may ask for input on any number of licenses you may hold, but the obligatory ones are (or supposed to be) the draw licenses.

I got a harvest survey for upland birds this year.
I have never done any of the surveys that weren't mandatory, and was never charged

I just tried to enter mine, I had no draws, and wouldn’t let me submit, said sorry, Null.

Both were OTC tags, and I never connected with either.

So I dunno!!

If you got dinged 15 bucks and held no special draws contact RELM and they will fix that for you. One of my buddies had the same problem, they fixed it with no hassle.

It’s sounding like this is what I need to do if it happens in the future. I will call the $15 a loss this time due to the length of time since it happened

I just assumed it was harvest reports in general is why I got dinged but seems I was not alone getting charged $15 incorrectly

If you buy any license they ask for a harvest report. You buy it you need to submit.

I will never buy a walleye tag as I don’t support the system so that was not my issue
