Default fishing rawson lake

I went fishing to Rawsin lake on saturday. Packed in my belly boat, waders fins rod and other gear. I did ok. Thre hours on the lake, Five fish, rangeing in size from a smokie to an english cucumber. (eight to fifteen inches)
My original plan was to fish chester lake but the area was closed due to a bear in the area. I'll remember to check the kananaskis trail web site for any closurs before i leave next time.
Well ,enjoy your salad.

Salad was good, but the cheese was not strong enough.

We were in there a couple weeks ago and picked up maybe 30 fish between us but it was definitely slower than normal and fish were smaller than normal. Biggest we got was 16 inches. Insect activity was almost non-existent and very few fish were rising. It picked up a bit near dark. Still one of the prettiest lakes in Alberta though.

Haven't fished Rawson for a few years; what were you catching them on, Fishstix?

Whe were fishing primarily caddis nymphs and dries. Had a brief go with Letort Hoppers but that didn't last long. No, we were fishing from tubes. Not sure where all the big fish were.
