Ottawa has sucked so much money out from under us over the years that the whole Province is starting to creak and groan as it sags.

It will be interesting how the Sylvan Lake quake and this one is eventually handled by the AER.

No doubt the anti-Energy Industry types will be pushing for a moratorium on fracking until there are umpteen dozen formal inquiries.

I hope common sense prevails but it sure seems like a remote possibility.

If fracking in Alberta is either totally banned or limited to select areas, this Province will be in dire straits.

Well the article doesn't say whether there was any fracs going on in the area, so it could be natural.

I am the furthest thing from anti-energy, and I would love to hear what a common sense answer would be to human-induced earthquakes that can knock out power to an entire town?
Just carry on? Acceptable consequences?
Nothing to see here...just common sense.

Dear Prime Minister,

In recent days, Alberta, a land locked, not on any known fault line, Has had two 4+ on the Richter Scale , ground movement phenomenon.
Earthquake if you will.
Do not be alarmed sir, it is Alberta herself physically seperating from the commonwealth and going independently with its own wealthy resources that you can’t seem to grasp is vital to this Country of Canada.
The ground shaking is the sound of us giving Ottawa and Quebec the big old bird as we go our own way, Saskatchewan and Manitoba will join and we’ll easily take over B.C and get our oil to market, and no longer be sending equalizer payments east or anywhere else for that matter.
Wait for the big one though.
But that just might be an Alberta hockey team winning the Stanley Cup.

Sincerely,
Alberta.

The earth quakes now moved from Fox Creek to Rocky area. Just depends on how many horizontal fracked wells are being drilled in area.
