Default Want to learn to handload

Im living in Red Deer and want someone to teach me how to handload rifle bullets. Plan on picking up all the neccessary equipment in the next month or so. Wonderred if anyone local could point me in the right direction of what equipment I should buy,, and then teach me how to safely load my own ammo. Looking to load for 257 roberts, 30-06 and possibly 300 mag and 243. any help appreciated. If someone local is willing too help it would be greatly appreciated!

Most loading manuals take you through the process step by step.... if you cant find someone to teach you. Plus many reloaders develop bad habits, and you too will have them.

I would help out,but I don't live in your area. The best advice that I can offer,is to read the warnings in the manuals about working up loads from a starting load.Do not start off with maximum loads.Search online to find out about pressure signs and how to recognize them. Most important of all,do not assume that all loads listed in a manual will be safe in all guns, because that just isn't true. That is why all manuals have warnings about working up loads from a starting load.Nobody can take into account the differences in chamber and barrel dimensions from gun to gun,or the variations in different lots of powder and other components.

I live in Lacombe and have been loading for 20 plus years. If you want I have a good selection on manuals we can go over.

If you need a hand drop me a pm and we can go from there,as well I have reloaded for most of the cartridges you mentioned
