The particular lake I was fishing today had 4-8” of ice and I walked on. Two meat heads were on the ice with pickups over 30+ feet of water. Stay safe out there people!

Lower Chain Lakes has 10” of ice. Trucks were driving all over the lake. Fishing was slow with the hurricane force winds.

I was at both Burnstick and Birch. At least 7 inches at each but didn’t take pics with a tape measure; thought of it but got busy fishing.

2 inches of white ice at Birch, all black at Burnstick. A bit of snow on Birch, hardly any at Burnstick. Ice was making popping sounds at Burnstick when the sun was out. No flood water at either. Quads and side-by-sides on each lake.

Pinehurst Lake 7” close to shore, 5” within a couple hundred yards of shore. Flood water everywhere.

Lac la Nonne has 5-10” of ice depending on where on the lake you are. People driving trucks on.

Wabamun has 10” everywhere I drilled on the south side.

Lower Chain Lake had about 12” of ice, but 4” of this is frozen slush and meltwater.

Default Pigeon Dec 19

Drilled a few test holes today off Sandholm point. 7-8” of ice in multiple spots. Lots of flood water still and a few of the cracks looked a bit thin & sketchy. A couple crazy’s were out in their 1/2 tons. I don’t think we’re quite there for vehicles on the ice yet.
Be safe out there guys.

9-10 inches of ice around Fallis on Wabamun lake, patchy snow on ice bring ice cleats.
