Experiences on buy/sell ?

Haven't really had much experience with the buy/sell on here but I do

remember having a good laugh when someone was trying to sell a fridge some

time ago.

I think in the end the seller had a laugh as well

what is the norm for doing face to face transactions with people? is it acceptable to meet at someones home? or do you normally just find a central location to meet? i've always been kind of curious about that aspect.

Depends. I've driven to their house , they've driven to mine. Situation dictates.
I've met in Cabela's parking lot or WSS

I have done several sales and purchases, all went smoothly. Sometimes we do it all online, and sometimes we meet up face to face. So far I haven't felt like anyone was trying to scam me, but I'm willing to give my full name/phone number/and address to sellers and I have also given them contact info for people that know me personally. It's always nice to know for sure who you are dealing with.

I have had some great sales from here. I always try and meet in person if i can. That way the buy can inspect what I am selling and determine if the quality is up to there standards. Makes it easy to get a perfect trader rating

all my dealings have been great both buying and selling. had one guy pm me 2 years after a sale complaining about a starter going on an old van i sold... but some people are just like that.

Almost all have been exceptional. Have dealt with 2 scammers, but if your "spidy senses" kick in walk away and report them to the moderator ... i always research my offers and sales so as not to throw an under handed pitch (lo-ball) & I relay this to the seller or buyer ... some want near retail for used and some do not understand the market for their wares ... that said, I have met and bought over the I-net from a plethora of wonderful people here on AO ... Done it lots on here, I always meet in person wether buying or selling and never ship or get shipped to unless it's a minimal dollar value, it's always been a great experience
