Just so you don't get lost, it's north of Kananaskis Lakes, and not really all that close to them. As far as I know it's not prone to winter kill.

You may want to re-assess your plans for the weekend.

Lillian and Ribbon backcountry campgrounds are both closed. As are both ways of accessing them (Ribbon falls upper and lower trails are closed, Guinn's Pass is closed, Galatea Creek trail is closed)

you can check for yourself what trails are open and what's closed as well as look at which highways in the area are open as well.

Yeah Rawson is probably a better bet i'm sure it's open...get there early, walk around to the other side and look for cruising cutties in the shallows, they'll be pretty big the Bald Eagles and Ospreys leave em alone! Sun gets higher more people show up the fish take off!!

I went and check the galatea creek trail, it's completely washed off just pass the bridge over kananaskis river. Major damages. And i guess it'll be like that all the way up as it follows the creek. It will be a while before it's open, thy'll need
to reconstruct the trail pretty much from scratch i think.
