Default Cline River

I'm heading up to David Thompson this weekend and want to try out fly fishing on the cline river. I'm new to fishing in Alberta and was wondering if anyone can clarify the regs for me. It states June 16 to Aug. 31 – Trout limit 2; Cutthroat over 30 cm; Mountain Whitefish limit 5 over 30 cm; Bait Ban.
Does that mean there is only a size limit on cutt throat and not any other trout? Or does it mean I can keep only cutthroat that are over 30cm

Yeah, 2 trout are permitted. But any cutty that you want to keep HAS to be over the stated size. I'd recommend just keeping the brookies out of there and leave the cutts alone

i am pretty sure the only species in that river are cutts, whiteys and bulls, and there is a zero limit on bulls province wide. i don't think there are any rainbows in there. if there are RB's (or any other trout species) in there then basically you can keep two of any size.

The Cline was pretty muddy a week back but might be good for when you're there!

you might try below the bighorn dam on the North Saskatchewan river. Might be clearer. you can drive right up to below the dam. Maybe someone can comment on the water clarity on the N.Sask river up there.
