Is there any lakes in lethbridge that have trout, and worth fishing for?

Nicholas Sheran Pond on the west side used to have trout, but I have't fished there for years.

I have fished there a few times and only caught pearch, but they did stock some brook trout there this year.

Riverstone pond was also stocked with 830 rainbows

i went to sheran, its a waste. i bet the trout are already gone. And to fish in riverstone do you need to be a resident or anything?

I don't think you need to be a resident to fish there, but I doubt there are many left.

Closest lake for trout is probably McQuillan reservoir by Coaldale. Stocking report shows 7200 bows this year. Not sure how it fishes.

yes people keep them, not sure what you do with a 5" trout. I am sure alot die off as well. I don't think anything would over-winter there.

Its a pretty small pond, more of a teach kids to fish pond then anything.

Hey Lee, lots of folks keep the little stocker bows but they get muddier as the season progresses. There are some epic trout in Sheran... If you can catch them. That being said the big ones are super nasty brooder fish, I'd eat craw daddies before them. If you want fun, hit up Henderson or the University pond for slough sharks. If you want tablefare go to a res (chin, keho, the ridge) and get some whitefish.

Try Police lake south of Cardston. Nice size RBT. But check regs before fishing.

They have realised pike into that lake years ago and fishing for trout has dwindled.

They stock the lake and im sure there are lots of trout, but if im going to drive a distance i might as well go into the mountain rivers and be guaranteed to catch trout instead of pike

good average size, spinners work well. Flies also work well and if you are not a fly fisherman. float and fly(adjustabubble) cast out and slowly reeled back works too.
