Default On the way to Montana Fishing, Crowsnest & Fernie Area

On our way down to Montana next week, buddy and I are thinking about going ahead of the women to do a little fishing in the Crowsnest area all the way over to Fernie. Is anyone willing to divulge some information on where to stop and what to use on the way? Any and all tips would be greatly appreciated!

Michel Creek on the BC side, south of Hwy 3 towards Coal Mountain mine is good fishing, but being a classified water, it's not cheap for non-residents to fish. The crowsnest river has been producing not bad along most of the length, and I haven't seen that many people out lately.

Good to know, thanks! I think we are just going to stick to the Crowsnest River. Is it better above or below the falls?
