Default Photos - Whitetails Here In Montana

Well, I've been doing a fair amount of bowhunting lately......haven't been able to get close enough to fling an arrow yet, but have been getting some decent photos. The first buck here is a buck I've been watching for the past couple of years. I hadn't seen him since last winter until one evening last week. I'll post a couple pictures of him I took along with photos from 2007 and 2008 and some photos of his sheds I picked up last March. He's added a fair amount of antler since last year.......got some pretty impressive brow tines with forks coming off the back of both of them... I've posted these pictures on a couple of other forums, so some of you may have already seen them.

Here he is last winter....and his sheds that I picked up in March.

Here are some photos of some other bucks I've been seeing.....

Here's a young buck that could be pretty impressive in a couple of years....he's already a 6X5!

More to come (hopefully) as I get out and about and take more......

Pheasant numbers are down considerably from the norm. The F&G says the numbers are down 38% in this area based on the roosters they hear crowing (as per the Great Falls Tribune yesterday). My guess is that they are down even a little more than that. I do a lot of bowhunting and am not seeing or hearing nearly the numbers I usually see. Our winter was long and pretty hard and then we had cool wet weather during the hatch.

Default Mr brow tines

I absolutly love the buck in your pictures that I call mr browtines!!! I cant believe how much his antlers grew over one year!!! that deer reminds me of a buck that I missed in saskatchewan in the year 1999 running @ 35 yards I was actully only 15 years old at the time and I was lost in the bush when I jumped the big guy. but At least I managed to find my way out.
