new to alberta, new to hunting

hi everyone, im Stu. Just moved here from BC. Am planning on buying a house in area 334(near Warburg). Just wondering if its legal to hunt on my own land. and what I have to do to get a hunting license in AB? I have a BC licence and the CORE program(IDK if its different in this part of the nation) Also the regs say the season day/month is that a regular open season and I hjust buy a tag along with my license?

Hi Stu, welcome, I am not sure where you are but best to check with Fish and Wildlife. They will let you know exactley what you can and can not do.
They are good people and will help you as much as they can

I am about 15 minutes from Warburg. I sometimes go on the land that is owned by Leduc or Millet Fish & Game. There are Grazing Reserves too that are not that far to drive too.

I take it you must of bought a farm with some trees on it. There is a lot of deer on some of the farms near Warburg Whites & Mule deer.......I don't hunt there but I see them on my way to the hunting grounds, or on my scouting trips, or camping.

Go to Drayton Valley Fish & Wildlife & have a talk with them.
