Default New custom 2wt rod

Grabbed a new custom 6'6 2wt rod from a rod builder out of michigan, he built my last 4wt for me and my soon to be wife's 3wt, he does really nice work and is a great guy. It's built on a 2 piece med/fast matrix blank. He didn't actually build this one especially for me but it's one he had for sale at a great price and I couldn't say no. I've never used anything below my 4wt before so Im pretty excited to try it out this summer.

Sorry, I wasn't sure if I could advertise someone else's website if they aren't a sponsor here, www.midwestcustomflyrods.com he's also on Facebook as well. Steve's Facebook page has the more recent rods he's made than his actual website.

oh man do I love that blue handle one he has on his site. Put that on a matt black blank with black wrappings and blue highlights on the guides I'm sold. Nice stuff.

Nice to see some colour flair in those rods.
I hope to see more of this in future.

Good to hear, he is a really good rod builder and an honest guy I've bought 3 fly rods from him two spin rods and a baitcasting rod for family members
