Default Hornady Rapid Gun Safe

Have being looking at the Hornady [night table] Rapid Safe. Has some interesting features - RFID reader, keypad or key , digital clock , USB ports and almost just looks like a bedside radio. Also has a 1500 Lb security cable or can be bolted down.
Wondering about a few things
1- Being a safe can you store the ammo / magazine with handgun ?
2- Does the gun have to have a trigger guard on ?

If you cant store ammo with it or you have to have a trigger guard it defeats the purpose...gun might as well be downstairs in gun room / big safe

If I'm not mistaken, you can have the ammo with the gun but not in the gun. Similar to how it would be in a bigger gun safe. And trigger locks are not required. Quoted from the RCMP Website;
  • Attach a secure locking device so the firearms cannot be fired and lock them in a cabinet, container or room that is difficult to break into; or
  • Lock the firearms in a vault, safe or room that was built or modified specifically to store firearms safely.
