Kane was in a custody battle for his daughter with his ex-wife last year, and said in the interview that he now has sole custody.
What does that tell you about his character?? Courts don't usually give custody to the father....As for the spousal abuse, that was proven untrue

Exactly. He admits he has issues but so does everyone else. I personally know 2 gambling addicts that have broken the addiction and are very good people. Personal attacks without walking a mile in that person's shoes is beyond a good hockey rivalry.

If the Flames had picked up Kane, I would have burned my Jersey and become a Oiler fan.....
I honestly think the guy is a 100% Goof/Clown. I would have cut him from my Junior C team.

Did anyone catch the press conference today? Did Mark Spector think he had to make up for Matheson's absence. What an a-hole. Nothing like receiving a warm welcome. I think Kane did very well with the question since they were about 80% in relation to past and character and 20% about actual hockey.

Yep, that's the one. Was i super impressed with all his answers, no, but it could have been a lot worst
I am going to give him a chance. I really think he knows how much the spot light is on him right now, especially in a Canadian market like Edmonton. I would imagine he was a little nervous with the press conference and probably a little on edge.

Yeah what does that tell you about his ex-wife to lose the battle for custody of their daughter. Anyone else sense that maybe the crazy ex had a chip on her shoulder and tried to throw Evander under the bus with a bunch of made up BS. Like the gambling/betting on games, throwing his own games and the abuse. Smells a little fishy now doesn’t it. I have never liked Kane but everyone deserves another chance.
