Hmm 2 weeks into the fishing season for the eastern slopes and today marks the first advisory for streams in ES1 & 2.

Just got back from a two day trip to the Prairie and i have to say that it was a little scary.
Every brown that I caught had virtually no fight in them. Even the ones over 20 inches seemed very lethargic.
The prairie was the lowest I've seen it in 25 years.
No pics, for obvious reasons.

Well, I think we can all breath a little easier and so can some fish

It was certainly looking bleak and then all this province-wide colder, wetter times arrived. Hopefully it maintains now at reasonable temps and we should be good (fingers crossed). Here is the latest from the Bow at Carseland:

It is now above the average and should follow the downward curve. We still didn't have a blast of cold water this spring so a change to really hot weather could still cause closures. I've only looked at the Bow so far.
