Default Looking for a cabin/lodge on a lake to go to in June

Hey everyone,

The family and I need a break and to get out and relax. I work a ton of OT all summer and do not see the family much and have 1 week off in June where I want to rent a cabin somewhere on a lake with good fishing. I would prefer a quiet lake and a cabin that would pretty much provide everything including boat etc.

Can anyone here recommend a good lodge/cabin a person could go to and find what I am looking for?

Nothern Saskatchewan, Winnipeg River in Minnaki, and Lake of the Woods. One day I'll have a place on LOTW. I've travelled all over Canada and in my opinion LOTW is one of the most beautiful places there is.

I would prefer to stay in AB for this one, somewhere surrounded by forest etc

Not sure you would be interested in going to Pigeon lake. You can rent a big cabin for $285.00/night. Sleeps a maximum of 16 people and has a small kitchen and washroom. The location is a kids camp during the summer so they have big and small cabins they rent out off season. Nice grounds. 240 acres of bush right on the north west end of Pigeon. Probably a few dropped antlers in that bush too.

Drive to, fly in, or doesn't matter?

Some of the fly in out post camps might only have a canvas wall tent but your pretty much gauranteed a lake with great fishing to yourself.
