Default Private Bounty?

Having a little discussion on whether or not a private indvidual could put a bounty on a supposed "nuisance" animal like a Crow or Magpie. I don't think it would be legal to do so, and if it were a coyote I imagine you would need a fur buyers license also. Only thing I have found close to someone putting a "bounty" on an animal is those Coyote derbies.

Some farmers used to pay for gopher tails...I think people can get hired to trap problem animals.

The Cattleman's Association has had a $500 Ca$h bounty per wolf in Northern BC for the last several years,

Actually quite effective, in fact wayyy more effective than idiots flying around in $3000 dollar an hour helicopters trying to kill some wolves ,,,

If you're a landowner, you could theoretically put a bounty on any animal (on your property) you wanted.

Except for the ever-endangered "Grizzy" bear...

Shoot, shovel, shut-up...

The 2 parties would have to use discretion, and not posting your intentions would be a good start.
