Default Wood stoves allowed in St. Albert ?

Just wondering if they are allowed. Some older houses on MLS have them. Could you install a new one ? What about if you’ve got an existing wood fireplace and wanted to switch to a wood stove insert

I would be calling your insurance company, they would know if it is allowed in your city and what standards each would have to meet.

Agree. Its really up to them in the long run.
My insurance company told me woodburners hafta be installed by a certified professional from a licenced company, whether its in a house or garage.

Mine is OK with wood/coal/waste oil burners, as long as you don't try and do ANYTHING yourself.

Hope this helps.

That sucks. I installed mine up north, had it WETT inspected and permit inspected that was it, all passed and it's awesome.
They're almost entirely fool proof diy
