Default National Park Fishing ?

I haven't fished in any of Canada's National Parks, from what I am reading, I think I just need a National Parks fishing licence. That is good for all Canada National Parks.

I do not need a provincial licence as well is that correct?

Alberta resident going to Yoho for a few days, but if I can use the license in Banff I will just by the annual.

Thanks in Advance.

You are correct in that you do not need a provincial park license to fish in the national parks - only the specific 'Fishing Permit' for the parks you'll be using.

However, the Parks Canada Mountain National Parks 'Fishing Permit' that you require for Yoho & Banff parks is only valid in Jasper, Banff, Yoho & Kootenay national parks. You can also get a separate one for Mount Revelstoke & Glacier national parks, and/or one valid only for Waterton lakes national park. I don't know of any single permit that's valid for national parks right across the entire country.
