Default Spruce Coulee

Anyone have tips for fishing Spruce Coulee in the Cypress Hills that they'd like to share? Was my fist time out there in years (since they netted the place to get a walleye count) and was a hard fish. Couple baby brookies and that was it.

I had my best results this time of year pond fishing for brookies deep right along the bottom with a type 6 or 7 sinking line and black wooly buggers. I've caught some chunky brookies out of Spruce well into July.
