Default Bush League Fly Ties

To all the fly tiers out there what do you do with all the flys that you tied that where bush league/ hack ties until you got that pattern down a little so that it resembled something worth sharing with the river or friends.

Use them, fish eat any thing. try on different species, perhaps rockies or high mountain creeks . Even chub or course minnows. Never tied a fly that wont work at some time or place.

All of my ties are as bush league as they get and they all seem to catch fish.

Chuck them into a fly box and give them a shot next time you are out on the water.

Because I don't follow patterns I do a lot of trial and error

I have a big reject box if the fly does not seem to get results that is where it goes. When I am low on hooks or anything I think I can salvage off them I cannibalize the flies in the reject box.

When I get a new idea in my head I want to try it can cause a good number of flies to end up in that box

I use them in places where there is a high chance of losing them.

If I don't like the tie, I simply take a x-acto to it and save the hook.

Chuck them they are trash. No need in keeping the weak ones around. Once you start tying up better ones you'll never use the zombies.

Sure. They are yours of you want them. My supply of less than good ones has ballooned lately. Probably 50 or so. Pm me.
