I believe the Ekich bobbin is a superior product.

I use the Nor-bobbin and like it (and hate it) for use with the Norvise. I despise having to load up his spools with thread as I can never get it spooled as good as a factory thread and don't like the way it comes off the spool sometimes breaking due to friction. Next year I will be giving the Ekich a try and probably get rid of the Nor-bobbin. With the cost of a Nor-bobbin and constantly buying new spools you could just get the EKICH AND NOT WORRY ABOUT IT.

If I'm not tying on my Norevise then I usually use either a Renzetti or a rite bobbin.

Nope, just giving an honest opinion. Don't get me wrong its a good bobbin I just think the Ekich "might" be a better option. I have yet to tie with an Ekich though so I can't say for sure that it will be any better than the Nor-bobbin.

I absolutely love the automatic bobbin. Can't say anything bad about it. I haven't tried the Ekich, I may one day.
I don't know what I did without it.

I have both the Ekich and the Nor-bobbin

I prefer the Nor-Bobbin to the Ekich; it just feels more comfortable in my hand. I don't find loading the extra spools to be that difficult or time consuming. I keep a couple of spools of the basic colours I tie with. I then load several spools at a time with a drill and use a old bobbin to hold the thread while it is spun onto the new spool.

The only selling feature for the Ekich was the ability to use the thread right off its original spool instead of having to transfer the thread onto the Nor-Bobbin spools.

However I found the having to release the tension of the spring on the Ekich constantly a little annoying (really it isn't that big of a deal, it is a matter of popping the spool of thread off the spring and pushing it back on, it felt like the thread "locked" whenever I was at a crucial point of tying a fly when it needed to be released)
