first time posting on the hunting sidebof things...usually im on the fishing side. anyway my buddys bday is today and we wanna hit the nordegg area. im a fisherman...hes.more of a hunter.
question is anyone know a map or book that shows the hunting zones in alberta...that also shows the streams and roads? we want to explore the area south of nordegg....but dunno where to start. ill buy a book or map or what ever. i went to map town....cause another guy on the fishing link recommended it. but my buddy wants the hunting zones shown on a map. all i care about is fishing and the roads and stream.
so any ideas? ohhh i would also like the township lsd stuff on the map too....some regulations require that knowledge...
Ihunter has the zones. South of Nordegg the trunk road is the zone boundary and so is the North Sask. River. You can also get WMU map on My wild ALberta that has a description.
You may want to get a copy of Alberta hunting regulations, it has a map with all the WMU's and rivers clearly marked, also then would know the regulations.
The best advice I can offer you is if you have a hand held gps with topo maps there is a file you can add that shows the WMU boundaries. The Backroad Map Books are awesome as well. The map that comes with the hunting regulations is fairly vague on details.
