Default Which way is south???

Still lots of geese near Chestermere...only 8 months to go!!!

As long as the wetaher stays mild and they have open water they wont be heading south.

I wonder if the amount a bird migrates will help with nesting in the spring?

I don't think Canada geese need any help nesting, but if they don't migrate they do generally have good success (more stored resources). Numbers have been increasing steady over time. Lots around down south, but thats every winter. I kind of like hearing them. Crazy thing this winter was i was out in Vancouver over Christmas (Richmond actually) and huge flocks of snows were feeding in the city. Felt like October again!
