Default Berger VLD's in 257 Wby Mag

Anyone used Berger VLD in 115 grain in their 257 Wby? My Mark V shoots Hornady 117 gr SST's in nice tight groups but I'm looking for a little better bullet. I've tried Barnes and Nosler's and they shoot OK but I don't get the groups I get with the SST's. Sure like to hear from anyone with experience with these bullets on game. I'm trying to brew up a recipe with ReLoder 22 or 25.

Many guys feel that the over all length of a number of the Berger offerings are too long for the throats in many rifles. I load the 140's in my 6.5x55 with ease because the clip in my Steyr has some extra length. Your 257 weatherby should have some extra room as well and these bullets should fit a weatherby style of chamber.

i use berger in my 257 roberts and 264 mag they work awesome but they seem to work the best out passed 200 yards on big game have drop a few close range deer that had small exit but over the 200 mark nice big hole if pass thru happens 80% are held up inside with great expandsion love berger have used or tried everything out there with nosler and berger being the best for me
