Default stretchers

Where does a person go to get stretchers for wolves and coyotes? Or plans to make one. Thanks

Forming board dimensions will be in the trapper's manual for every species.

If you no longer have it then this link will help as well.

You can also buy them at the ATA

Just take a couple of 1" x 4" x 8' boards to a local Trapper and sketch the pattern on the boards. Cut them out and use them for a template to make others.

I had the same issue with marten boards last week. Ended up buying them online out of Minnesota for 4.50$. I can’t buy the material and shape it for that price. Schmitt Enterprises was the dealer who also had boards for other critters. There was a place out of Winnipeg as well but I forget their name. A google search might turn it up.

Trapper Gord sell all sizes of stretchers.

They have an online store and do mail out orders.

I've been thinking of adding split stretchers to my product list, to sell at gun shows. But they wouldn't be cheap.

I invented a hinge for split stretchers that beats anything I have seen by a mile. My design makes twisting impossible and allows far more spread then anyone would ever need. But they are time consuming to build.

I don't know if I could price my stretchers low enough to be competitive in today's market. So I haven't made up my mind what to do.
