Digital Scale and Dispenser
Just wondering if anyone else heard of a Smartreloader iSD Digital Powder Dispenser, same concept as the RCBS Chargemaster but only costs a little over $200 US. Anyone have one or know if they work as well?

never heard of that particular one but i do have a chargemaster and paid $340 shipped to my door from natchez. that is a full $200 cheaper than you can buy a new one up here, or even a used one off the buy and sell portion of this forum

Holy smokes, where are they based out of? They are on sale for $279.95...
I assume US dollars...but the exchange rate is pretty damn good at the moment.

No experience with a Smart Loader but, I was in Bass Pro in Calgary yesterday, they had the Lyman DPS3 for $329. I owned both the RCBS and the Lyman and I would pick the Lyman over the RCBS for speed, accurracy and ease of use. On top of that they are quite a bit less expensive than the RCBS.

I have the RCBS Chargemaster... You won't be dissapointed spending the bit extra... I loaded 100 rounds of .280 AI the other night and every load I spotchecked was bang on... Also a very fast system... Gets my vote

i find the accuracy depends a lot on the powder you use. with 4831sc and h1000, probably 1 in 7 or 8 go over (.1-.3 grs), but that is easilt dealt with.

Thats what I thought, and they have the Trim Mate Case Prep for $110. Now just have to find a way to get the wife to let me buy it, or just hope I pick up the mail and she doesn't notice .

Lyman vs RCBS - +1000 for RCBS - it`s fully re-programmable for your need....
speed, max and min load, time stand-by, EVERYTHING can be adjusted for your needs....
yes, it`s more in advanced group, but still.....

I have the RCBS Chargemaster, and it's been a great machine. I've had it for almost a year now.
Yesterday I got home from working on the road for the last 5 months and I was using it to weigh some brass that I'd got in the mail while I was gone. Everything was going well like it always has with my unit. But, I accidentally bumped the power cord that goes into the left side of the scale. The machine went off when this happened, and I can't get it to turn back on again.
I've tried unplugging the cord from the unit, then plugging it back in. I've made sure there is power to the plug in/wall outlet. I've left the cord plugged into the machine, and unplugged/replugged it back into the wall outlet. I can't get it to go again.
I called the RCBS warranty centre and talked to a fellow named Brian. I explained this same scenario to him, and he said that he's never heard of this before. Told me that I should send it in for warranty service. I've dealt with RCBS warranty before, and it's great, as others are sure to know as well.
Has anybody had this problem before? Anybody have an idea what happened?
Sorry to highjack the thread, but this is sort of related, because I'm frustrated with the Chargemaster combo right now, and don't want to see others having the same trouble.
Thanks, Eric

Spend the little extra money and get the RCBS Chargmaster.
Like others have said you won't regret it.
I paid $295 US for mine.

Agreed. I had the Lyman DSP3 and brought it back to Russel's the same day I bought it and immediately upgraded to the RCBS Chargemaster.

The reason I had went with the RCBS unit, was I understood that it was a PITA with the Lyman when going from one type of powder to another. Just hard to get all the powder out of it. The RCBS unit is quick and easy to do to do so.
I think the RCBS warranty team is going to look after me with my trouble.
