Default Need help determining value of 1950's boat motor

1950's era johnson 10 hp boat motor. My dad would like to sell it but doesn't have any idea of its value. The last time it ran was about 10 years ago. Ha been in storage.

Or whee can i go. To find its value?

Thanks,
Gongshow

Try this for an idea. They are not worth much.

I have a 1954 Johnson sea horse QD-15, 10 hp, green in color. Cool motor, has wings, aerodynamic you know 😉 Not sure it's worth much but there is an old/vintage omc outboard we'd site that has a chat site. May be able to ask some questions and find some info there. I haven't been on the site for many many years but u can get old parts, decals, paint etc on the site for restoring old motors which is what I plan to do.....someday.

Great motors , I have used quite a few of them and the Evenrudes of that vintage as well.

My dad still has a 5 horse even rude from the late 50's that was his his fathers. He's never sold it, and if and when it becomes mine, I doubt I will either. Cool old piece though!

Ask him for it, free. What was the price in 1950's?
