Default Doggone - EE looking for another coach

This is a kick in the pants for us EE fans

https://globalnews.ca/news/7598111/h...tt-milanovich/
>>
Scott Milanovich has stepped down as head coach of the Edmonton Football Team before he had a chance to watch the CFL club take a single snap.

I think you mean the E. I hope you’re not a racist EE supporter??!?!😀

Just in case it’s not obvious, the sarcasm meter is off the charts right now.

Seriously though, how can you blame him. He hasnt worked in a year and will he even get to work this year?

What the..?

Fallout from a cancelled season I bet?

Ambrosie better get this leagues poop in a group for this season.

I dont fault the guy for finding other work if he foresees another lost season, but thats a pretty big bridge he just burnt.

Not good news for EE, not good for the integrity of the league either.

Milanovich is taking a coaching job in Indy. Can’t blame the guy for jumping to the NFL. Sounds like Chris Jones is trolling for the job via Twitter.

Character!! Indeed taken with a grain-o-salt. Love it!

Though, it will probably still be EE, 'Edmonton Egrets' perhaps

Nothing would suprise me these days. I don't think they'd even answer a call from Jones though.

Not good in any manner at all. Silver lining is its now and not a month from now...I'm confident we'll have CFL this year, with fans...We will see though.

I guess Thorpe could be promoted from within.

Free agency is just around the corner. Need someone in place by then. SM would have implemented his our offensive scheme, that went with him.

If I'm Trevor Harris I would be ****ed.

I don't think it will be too bad. He was hired under Maas. Doubt he even shook Milanovich's hand.

They should see what Marc Trestman is up to these days. He’d look good in green and gold. Instant credibility to the team and players.

No more Jones. He’s walked out on to many teams.

Problem with hiring outside of the org in the offseason is coaches want "thier" guys in the coordinator poisitions.

Its not too late in the offseason if a new head guy wanted to bring in his own people imo.

Elizondo is intriguing, Harris played very well with him in Ottawa.

Who can blame him, the CFL is just the farm team for the NFL, there is not a player or coach that won't bolt for the NFL given the choice, like everything just follow the money folks.

Anywhere else, if you burned all those bridges, you'd be out.
But I think there are a few teams in the cfl that would hire Jones yet.
Heck, I would not be shocked if Edmonton did.
