Oilers are skating so well right now, the Jets just watching and containing... would be nice to get to 3-1 before intermission

I really hope they stick with these line combinations. You don't need to be the fastest line as long as you are working and moving as a unit. I think Kassian might have found a speed he can make successful plays at, with working with the 3rd and 4th lines. JP did really well with McDavid and Nuge. I think Shore was a great PTO signing, and maybe Turris gets us 10-12 goals this year. Based on the last 2 games if I was going to rotate anyone out right now it would be Archibald, Ennis or Koekkoek. Koekkoek's first couple games were really good but in the last couple games he is getting beaten off the boards a lot.

JP surprised me a bit last night, still panics with the puck at times, and isn't as hard on the puck at times as a guy his size should be, but overall he played well and did what he needed to do. I predict he'll stick with McNuge for the forseeable future.

Kahun needs to get it figured out ASAP. There's no way he shouldn't be all over the score sheet playing with Yammer and Drai. I'm willing to give him more leash, largely because there isn't a better option right now, but it's gotta start happening pretty quick.

Kassian to the 3rd line is looking pretty permanent. I didn't love that contract at the time, and I'm liking it less and less. He's got some stuff going on in his personal life by the sounds of it, so hopefully he can turn it around and be a force on the 3rd line. We sure could use it. If Turris can keep some momentum and get it figured out, Neal/Turris/Kassian isn't a terrible 3rd line at all.

Does Shore play the wing at all? I agree that Ennis and Archie would be my two to sit, Ennis in particular, he's been invisible. I'd like to see Haas back in the lineup. As long as we've seen the last of Khaira, I'm happy.

Koekoek has come back down to earth (maybe because he got paired with Larson??). Larson was better last night, but still not very good. I wouldn't mind seeing Jones get another crack at the lineup.

Nurse on the PP is NOT a good thing, dude can't make a clean pass to save his soul, but I can see why Tippett is frustrated with Barrie, I know I am. They need to find a way to get Bouchard on the ice or maybe give Bear a shot at the PP.

Ennis on waivers and if he’s not picked up will likely be on the taxi squad. Management must be reading The posts on AO. BD and WD called it.

Apparently Tippett is NOT reading my posts.

Ennis cleared waivers, so he and Shore go to the taxi squad. Khaira and Patrick Russell up to the 4th line.

I'm A-OK with Russell getting a look, but Khaira, c'mon man.

Koekoek also out, Jones back in. I did call that one. I think Jones needs another look. If he can move the puck while dragging Larson around, that's a huge win for him and the team.

Word is Bouchard has a back injury, or he'd be going in. Haas is reportedly getting close, so hopefully that will finally put an end to the Khaira era.

Should be a good game tonight...

Fun game to watch. Oilers are looking pretty good.

Friggin Kassian has to start putting that puck in the net. He’s had so many good chances this year, two tonight, and he just can’t seal the deal.
