Default Butcher

Hi all,
Does anyone know if there’s such a place that will take a domestic pig,cow or sheep and process it. Looking to get a couple pigs butchered but I’d rather bring them alive and have everything done at a facility. I’ve heard of a mobile guy but that’s about it.

Balzac Meats used to do it. We used to drop off a live steer and pick up the packaged meat. That was 25 years ago but they may still offer the service.

If you don't mind a country drive you can call Vulcan County Meat Market, he's on AO. I did some work there and he gave me the finest steak I ever cooked, I only needed my fork, a knife would have been redundant. He's both mobile and has a proper storefront shop.

Balzac Meats burnt down a while back.

I've had cattle processed at Riverside Packers in Drumheller and was happy with their work.

There are quite a few around, what direction from Calgary are you?

Found a company that will take them both live and then I’ll pick it up all packaged. Pure country Meats Strathmore. It’s the closest place to me.

Balzac Meats burnt down 2 months ago (give or take). sadly, they are out.

Red Deer Lake Meats is a great place. I am there quite often for work related requirements.
