Default Scope Mounting Advice for H&R Buffalo Classic Target Rifle

Howdy,

Wondering if anyone knows options for mounting a scope on an H&R Buffalo Classic Target Rifle. Currently set up with a williams and Lyman reciever sight.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers,

There is a weaver base for handi's I belive the BC's have the standard hole pattern. You will need high bases and a hammer extension (Uncle Mikes).

As for glass it's up to you.

Thanks for that info on the old style tube scope and the info on the base options.

I have an extra hammer extension from another rifle in the collection. I'll play around with some of the base options. All my scopes are leopold. Might put another vari x II on this bad boy. Planning on using it for my buffalo hunt next fall. With back up of course, but I thought I would try it with a scope just for something different.

thanks again for the help.

Cheers,
