Factory? or Reloads?

Factory i would go with the heaviest grain Nosler Partion available. I think Federal has them in factory 100grains

If you can Find Winchester 95grain Xp3 elite then i would settle for them for factory loads

I currently have 85 grain TSX loaded up for my .243 for the gf and they work great.

I will be using handloaded 90 grain Swift Scirocco's for deer this year, think they will work well. If I had to use factory stuff, I would look at the Fusions.

Hey i have been having some trouble with the Berger 95 gr VLD in my rem700. 1:10 twist. I'm thinin they might be a tad too long a bullet for my twist of barrel. Tried about 13 progressively different load charges and couldn't get a single one to group well at 100.

Sounds like the TSX 85 gr may be a good way to go, but has anyone else had luck with any of the Berger bullets in this caliber? I need to get er tuned up for the first time hunter program again this year and i got a lot of those Bergers' left.

I have the TSX loaded up with 44 grains of IMR4350 @ 3300 ft/sec.

Steven's 200 - 243

Will try this November.

Noticed quite a bit of copper fouling.

95 gr Nosler CT ballistic silvertip at 3150 fps, a max load, shoots better than anything else tried. Great accuracy, sub .5" groups @ 100. Federal Premium 100 gr Partition in a factory load's awful effective too.

Very hard to beat the 85Gr TSX over some H-414.
In my Tikka 595 this load shot 1/2" groups... Why did I sell it?

i have had good luck on deer using Factory Remington Core-lokt ammo and also handloaded Hornady 100 BTSP Bullets. I enjoy the heavier bullets, i just like to hit a little harder.

Used 100 gr. Sierra Boat Tails in mine - never had a deer that liked them.

I just loaded up some 100 gr sierra game kings, couldn't get the partitions to shoot great. But hopefully the 100gr game king on top of hybrid 100V works.
