Default Federal 110gr in .30-06

Hey,

I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with the 110gr Federal in .30-06. They supposedly send a Barnes TTSX at 3400fps. Any thoughts or opinions? Furthermore, does anyone know where you can buy these in person or on the internet?

Cheers.

I haven't seen them, but then again with such a low BC, they wouldn't interest me anyways.

i only know that with a one-in-ten twist my 30-06 doesnt seem to be able to stabilize /fling the smaller than 150 grs bullets . handloads. 110s would be super flat shooting for an 06 for varmints though and deer up to a certain range.

I dont think you fully understand rate of twist and it's effect on bullets..

A 1 in 10 twist is not only is sufficent to stabalize a 110gr .30 cal bullet, in fact over rotational issues may insue, often giving sub par accuracy.

Keep in mind a TSX type bullet is a tad longer than it's cup core cousins, so it may not over rotate to the degree prevelent with cup core design slugs.
