10 Hollywood types who love hunting - some surprises!
Not going to give you the list, but my biggest surprise was that left wing wacko, Morgan Freeman. He's a great actor, can't stand his politics, so I was VERY surprised he is a hunter.
Some interesting females in the bunch.

Celebrity Hunter?
Being a Spokesman for Duck's Unlimited doesn't necessarily make one a "hunter"?
After going thru the list and reading Karl Malone's name, I must say I (personally) would use the tittle "hunter" very loosely?? I was hunting brown bear in Chignik, AK a couple of years back in the same camp as Mr. Malone! Yes- he got a large 10ft bear! However, the way he got it doesn't really doesn't fit my description of a "hunter"! He had 2 guides locate the bear and follow it while he flew up in his private jet, chartered to camp, spent the night-to make it all legal, went out next mouring met the guides, shot the bear, got back in his jet and flew home. He spent more time signing autographs and writing the check for the hunt than hunting!!
Having a BIG pocket book does not make one a hunter in my books???!!!

Not that surprising these people come from all kinds of backgrounds....city folks...farm kids...Rhodes scholars and high school drop outs...
Not everyone in Hollywood is a democrate, gay, huggy feely, into saving seals or a vegan.
Candice Bergen used to be an avid hunter to. I can remember back in her hotty model days being on American Sportsman.
A friends brother guided John Wayne during a hunting trip to Canada.

Back in the early 90's, when I was dating Eva, she loved to go shooting the .22 or whatever with me.

So because he has money, he is not a hunter? Are all hunter's low class citizens? Never heard you complain about the sheep hunter's that buy there way to free pickins. This stuff happens all the time. no denining it? If he done anything illigal, report him!! if not just be jealous, and live with it, he is the same as you, with a little more cash! Some of the Biggest HUNTERS in the world where Rich.

You're right, Hunters come from all walks of life with all types of "means" and I have had the privledge of hunting with people from various walks of life. In fact, as you speak about sheep hunters, I have 1 friend that spends 10's of $1,000 annually to pursue this passion- he has 3 Grand Slams to his credit. However, never has he ever just shown up to pull the trigger.
As for "just being jealous" - SORRY can't do that. Just the opposite, I feel sorry for this type of Hunter. For they not only do not fit my (and the dictionary) description of a hunter, but they are also missing out on an incredible experience, that will last a lifetime- not just a few fleating moments when they can brag to their buddies about a their trophy?
In my humble opinion the size of a "trophy" is in the effort to takes to acheive it - not the size ot the horns or in this cast the body/skull!!!

Hmmm... I may have to reassess my thoughts about Eva and Avril. I never cared for their politics and would never have thought that they would be OK with hunting at all!!
Other notables:
Wade Boggs, Ben Rothlisberger, Kirk Hammet ( Guitarist from Metallica) and Johnny Depp.

Yes, proper bullet placement is highly desirable, but there are some calibers that just are not sufficient to do a proper job.

Actually it is James Hetfield not Kirk that hunts ( apparently he has since hung up his rifle after an incident in Russia hunting bears, a snow storm and some vodka ... occured around the time of "St Anger" / Some Kind of Monster movie)

I think there are more celebrities that hunt then you think, they just are'nt vocal about it like the anti-hunters are. Kurt Russell and Brett Favre are two more celeb hunters.

It's nice though when they come public about it. I believe William Golden from the Oakridge Boys has come up here to Alberta to go bow hunting... there are lots more out there.

30 years ago I had the priveldge of hunting waterfowl in Delta Marsh, MB with Tom Selleck. And more recently I have run into several at a Gun/Archery range I frequent to near our winter home in Palm Springs, CA, so I believe you are right, there are many! And most are not vocal, blame that on the media? Too many times their comments are taken out of context and/or distorted, so they just be quiet and go about their own business.
Good hunting
