Default Python Lock Users

If you've ever used a Python lock on your trail cameras only to have them disappear this is how they likely went missing. Using a hair pin and wooden stick it only took me 4 taps to open mine.

If they want them bad enough they'll cut the tree down or shoot the lock off my first Bushnell had a wire lock and they just shot it off like nothing

They also have very few different keys. Had an outfitter unlock mine with there key, pull my card slightly out and lay the python down nicely on the ground beside the tree. Have never used it since.

Likely only do-able on those type of pythons with the 3 position tumbler on the top face, these I’ve seen for $14
I would like to see this same test on the side mounted tumbler 2 position pythons, these cammo are $24 ea, can get them in sets of 3 keyed alike.

Python locks or wire cable can be cut with a simple pair of wire cutters in a couple of minutes. A few strands at a time is the approach.

We've had to do it twice when we've lost/forgot the keys.

Transport chain is better, but quite a bit heavier. Python is ok but won't stop a prepared/determined thief.

Great stuff for tree stands, ladders etc. Not impossible to defeat, but pretty close. Angle grinder will work.
