Default Amazing Weekend in BC

Had the pleasure of going to a private pheasant hunt camp in BC this past weekend. 3 very large release areas and only limited to three pairs of shooters for the weekend. The labs were very on and we bagged 32 pheasants between us.

It really was. Just to clarify that was 32 between my buddy and I and a total of close to 100 for the group of six of us.

Looks like a good time that’s for sure. Looks like from your pictures you shoot the hens as well. Or are those just immature roosters with little to no colour yet? When they do releases do they release both roosters and hens and what percentage of each. I’ve never hunted released birds before. The times I’ve hunted pheasants can only shoot the roosters.

You are correct that normally we can't shoot hens. In this case they are a mix and good for either. The split is about 70% roosters and 30% Hens.
