Winter wheels

Well weather we like it or not but winter is coming, and now I should think about winter tires and rims for our new to us 2019 VW Tiguan.
Where is a good place to buy nice rims for a not bad price.
And with those rims I need winter tires as well.

Why don't you look at the dealer. When we bought our Tiguan, the dealer had winter tire packages. I think we paid about a G note for tires & wheels mounted & balanced.

When we got my wife’s jeep we got Winter tires and rims for around 750$. Somewhat cheaper than a dealer!

Call a couple of VW dealerships and ask if they have any "takeoffs".

I see your in Montana. $750 US vs $1000 cdn, about the same.

Vote again for TireBob. I wish I lived closer as I would buy all my tire stuff. He has helped me with some good advice even though I haven't bought a thing from him.

Wreckers often have rims cheap, just make sure they guarantee them to be straight or give free replacement. Take offs at dealer is another good option. I am a big fan of OEM rims or going to someone like TireBob who will fit a Rim properly. Something as simple as wrong offset can Kack your bearings in short order. DO NOT buy Canadian Tire Universal Steel rims.

By "nice rims", I assume you mean 'Alloy Rims' (not steelies).

I just finished buying new winter tires & alloy rims for my '15 Tacoma. It was a learning experience for me ... I quickly found out that Not All alloy rims are made for winter use❗ The finish on some alloy rims can fade/chip/peal/etc. in the winter, if they're only intended for summer use.

Alloy rims rated/made for winter use are more expensive, but well worth the extra 💲.
