Default It worked out. Best group ever.

After the kt15 wouldn’t dial I wasn’t sure what scope to go with. After looking for a new scope and not seeing anything I liked in the stores. I put a surplus 4x16 4500 Japan. It’s found it’s home. 100y

Time to change your handle to Glen 1/2 moa now.

Great group, I always like when I think it's a scope problem and can confirm that it wasn't me with the new scope.

It’s an old savage/cil 340. 222. with some work done to it. I got it off a ww2 vet. years ago. He used it for a long time and said he shot wolves with it. My shots are with factory 50gr hornady Ammo. As I was adjusting zero it was putting everything real tight. Next step is getting out to 400y.
That’s the fifth scope I’ve had on it.
It’s nice when it works out after all the scratching and clawing to make it work.

Four faulty scopes?? That's some bad luck right there. What were they? Were they new?
Glad to see you got straightened out anyway.

The first scope wasn’t enough power. Japan 6power. I still have it. Second and third no target dials not good enough quality. Forth scope kt15 that worked good until it wouldn’t dial up anymore. I changed out the scopes over the years as my needs changed. When I got a rangefinder that works to 600y on coyotes I started shooting a long way. This gun hasn’t been used very far out yet. 320y is its longest. It looks like it will work to 400y. I’m going to try paper first. After that it really runs out of energy and the wind will blow it around.

Sure nice after trying out different optics and getting great results.

Nice shooting Glen, plus all the best in reaching out further with it.

Cheers
