Yup 👆 ... but don't think I would put one by the front door, where it could be easily tampered with.

I'd want it up high and out of reach ... and in a not-so-obvious place ❗

Birds are arriving soon, put the camera in a bird house.

But why does that matter.. By the time they've walked up to the doorbell, it's already caught their image? If they're covering their face, placing it out of reach does no good anyways. I have both.. a doorbell one, then have a couple discrete and some not so discrete ones.

Half of the advantage of having a camera system is the very presence of it is a deterrent.

I like that ^ idea of a 'multi-camera' system.

Expensive ❓

Nope. The most expensive part is the Ring camera.
I have multiple systems, so ring alarm/doorbell, with wyze Cameras surrounding house and in garage. Wyze cameras a $40-50/each, and are very good. Having two systems is a failsafe, in case one goes down, the other is still there.
