So my boy jammed out on shooting today, would rather go skating with his girlfriend.....can't stop nature I suppose...

I feel for you Justfishing73. With me hunting meat for 45 years my son decided he wants to be a vegetarian so my families hunting heritage may be in jeopardy. Ken has it right. We can only hope our boys have kids so we can take the grandkids out shooting instead.

Not to worry, The hormones to blame, just a matter of time and he will be back in the truck on saturday mornings-----the other guy is probably doing most of the worrying.

Sounds like your boy is at the age where he is busy exploring all the options in the world around him. Good on you for not forcing him - he'll come back to it. We made the mistake of forcing our girls to ski/snowboard because my wife and I love it so much and that backfired on us. Thankfully we didn't force camping/fishing on them and my 16 year old (after a 3 year break) is expressing interest in back country camping again this season - even said she'd like to try fly casting!

Next time invite the gf shooting. She might like it.
When my daughter came to me and asked me to teach her to shoot a 22 it was a proud day. Her date at the time thought he could shoot. She showed him up.
