Default Best Day Ever!

I headed North to Beaumont this weekend to visit family, I brought along my fishing gear to take my 3 year old niece fishing for her first time. We went to a trout pond right in Beaumont.
I was a little skeptical on how long she would last out there, but to my amazement she absolutely loved it! we spent almost 2 hours on the pond, she helped scoop the ice out of the hole, put the corn on the hook, and loved watching the fish (and Muskrat) on the camera.
It took about 45 minutes before she landed one and it was a nice little trout, needless to say she was not about to let me put it back down the hole. The look on her face was absolutely priceless, she played with that fish for almost half an hour and did not want to go home until we caught him A "little buddy".
We were unsuccessful at another one, but I must say it was the best day of fishing I have ever had! The pictures say it all, she even had to give the trout a kiss.I cant wait to go back and give it a go with her in the summer.
No amount of money in the world could have bought the enjoyment I had out there with her, and it didn't cost a penny...sorry .89 cents for the can of corn.

My favourite kind of post. Glad you had the oppurtunity to get one from that pond. You never know if they winterkill or not in those small stocked ponds.
Another new angler hooked on fishing. Congrats.

Priceless. Thanks for sharing the event.
Be sure to keep the picture of her kissing the fish to put up at her wedding in 20 years.

You are going to need a two seater tent next time you come up.

Wow, Thank you all for your very kind words! it will be a memory for many years, l love the idea of saving the "kissing the fish" picture for her wedding Thanks for that Red Bullets!

Snowman, I may try to get out with her one more time (weather permitting) if you see the tent from your house again don't be a stranger and come on over and say hi.

Thanks again everyone for your wonderful replies!
