Perfect elk weather called in 24 bulls this year
Got this one four days ago in the heat
Still looking for one much bigger than this but he's in a league of his own very extremely smart but will keep at him

Great bull congrats!
What was wrong with the other 23 bulls?
Must be nice to live and hunt in good elk country!

A big old bull in hunted country is a master of survival. He bugles to locate other bulls and hunters so he can avoid them. He patterns you. He can't be called in and he want you to respond to his call, so he can pick an alternate route. One of the only ways to get him is to intercept the harem he has between feed and bed. It posses a problem when they can eat right handy to where they sleep. You gotta stick with them every day , it's a real game of cat and mouse.
Sounds like you have a great spot with very good ratios of bulls and cows. Nice bull. Would love to here what calls your using if you wanna shoote a pm.
Congrats

Nice work! Nothing wrong with that bull. Iv also been chasing a giant for the past 5years. I'm sure this bull is 10-12yrs old now. As wise as can be and let's his nose tell him what to do. Find his licks set stands and hunt the wind. He won't come to your calls but you can try and go to his.
It takes a smart bull to get mature up here. Any bull around 300" is a stud for the north. But once you glimpse a 350"+ bull it will haunt your sleep tell you find him again.
Congrats again! Maybe next year is the year the big guy falls.
