Default Got my first coyote today!

I've been waiting months to post this but I finally got my first coyote this afternoon. Can't remember how many unsuccessful trips I've had just learning on my own but felt like I was getting closer and closer. This was like none of my previous hunts of waking up early and driving out to some field. I was driving home early after finishing up early and noticed a coyote just entering my quarter from the tree line. I raced home drug my 2 great Pyrenees' into the garage and ran though the house grabbing my binos and calls and gun that I had just put all away for the season. Ran out to the closest tree line and set up. Called it about halfway across the quarter when it refused to come any further. My guess is it knew the dogs were there. I gauged the distance and let a shot go with it looking right at me. Coyote down! Guessed 300m walked it out to be about 328m. Ran back to the house to get my boy to come check it out. Turned out to be a great day. Just wanted to say thanks to all the guys that gave advice to me and others on here to make this happen.

Great job man! Nothing wrong with that hunt, one thing that gets a guy down coyote calling is you think you're doing something wrong but it's not that, it's that not many dogs are around there at the moment. They do cover ground but takes a while.
