Default NAFA auction

Guys some encouraging prices for coyote and marten at latest auction. A $140 average for heavy coyote, top lot of $600 Ca. Also marten XXL heavy at $140 and top lot of $195 is starting to look respectable.

I'm thinking that the May auction should be even better.

Thats great news. I personally did not have the time to get out this year but I'm really happy for those of you who had a good year. I hope price's stay high or even higher for the next auction. I have mentioned a few times recently that I have noticed a lot more people wearing fur on tv.

Or maybe you take the chance, skin, clean, sew and stretch it and get $40-$50 at the next auction because fur prices are down. Been $20-$30 forever for a reason, just saying.

My understanding is that this year is different. The big auction, with the most buyers, is the second one. I was debating putting in my November/December coyotes in the second auction. More variety of wild fur as well (ie. Lynx, otter, etc). I'm thinking that prices will be as high or higher. I have none in but I'm really interested in the muskrat prices. I may have to push harder trapping them this Spring.

You put two holes in it, it's not going to sell for big bucks.

If you have a pencil sized hole going in the ribs and no exit wound it might be worth $30.

Like I said , maybe .. My ave for this last sale was within a dollar of my last years first sale . If it holds or gets higher for second I'll be ecstatic., cause last years second sale for me was a fair bit lower .. even if I dropped those mystery grade coyotes we all had in there . How much higher can coyotes go ?
