Default MOSSBERG MVP Rifles - any owners feed back.

I've been looking at treating myself to a newer .223 rifle and the Mossberg MVP Predator has caught my eye. I've done my research and read some reviews but am looking to see if anyone owns one and has had any issues with their unique drop design and feeding a round from the AR style mags.

Any feed back or information would be great. Thanks!

No problems so far, but I've only put maybe 250 rounds through it. The mags work well, haven't had any feed problems. Only fired surplus FMJ in it as that is what I have on hand for now, until I start reloading for it.

Don't hesitate. Fantastic rifles. Don't feed as well as a typical bolt action, but minor IMO. I have 500 rnds through mine, still love it.

Thanks for the feed back!
Did you opt for the shorter medium bull barrel or the longer sports barrel?

I actually have the MVP Varmint, so the longer medium barrel. I understand I am getting more velocity, but accuracy suffers? Either way, sub MOA with the "cheap" Winchester JHP.

I like mine as a bench shooter, mag tends to dig in the back a bit when carrying but not the biggest deal. I'm happy with mine. Would like to find a spare mag one day.

I've done some research into using the Rock River Arms LAR-15 PISTOL magazine which has a 10 round capacity which can then be used legally in the Mossberg MVP as well as others.
