Default Beavers Spring 2017

Beaver lodge with large feedbed to the right and smaller one to the left. Entrance is more or less between the two where the flagging is.

First time using those fancy 48" high manufactured metal stands. Unfortunately, they were too short to get right in front of the entrance. I set three stands anyway but will have to use stands made from dead branches here. The stand on the right is clearly visible, the middle one is sticking up a few inches and the one on the left, where I want to be, is a few inches under water.

Gonna have to go back to my old reliable dead branch stands for this lodge.

Default Beavers Spring 17

Hi Dave , that's quite a big lodge , using the poles would be a good choice by the look of things , deep water , those beaver where busy cutting the cattails , fair size lake by the looks of it . Good Luck !

Looks great Dave, though I'm surprised you spent money on those metal ones. By the way please leave that one "private" lodge alone for me this year. You know which one I'm talking about. My back should be in working order soon. lol

I forgot where you said the lodge is.....lol. I wouldn't move in on anyone anyway. Those metal stands are pretty cheap so I bought a dozen. They'll work great in shallower locations and will save me time gathering dead branches and building stands. More time to put out traps.
