Agreed the move of Hendricks was a serious loss. Bad read by the GM and coach on that one.

Yes Hendricks was not re-signed. Oilers chose not to keep him which resulted in his signing with the Jets. Nothing in return except the lost leadership in the dressing room and example of work ethic on and off the ice.
I guess Jonathan Toews should never have been captain of the Hawks because he's not a "Rah Rah" guy either?

As far as Hamilton trade. I make that trade everyday, Flames added depth at the cost of very little. Hanifin and Dougie look like they could be a wash, Lindholm the benefit. Ferland is a great character guy and one of my favorites but a ufa in 1 year and looking to make big $ off Topline prowess. Fox was not signing anyway,too much depth on that blueline for him to feel comfortable.
