Default Ride share recommendations in Phoenix

We’re are headed to Phoenix for 10 days and wondering if anyone can recommend a particular ride share company ? Uber? Lyft? We will have a rental car while down there but plan to head to a few hockey games and don’t want the bother of driving.

We also rent a car down there, but on occasion have taken an Uber for various, uh, entertaining events like Happy Hour....so Uber is good.

We snowbirds in Mesa, and always drive to games. But only to when Edmonton or Calgary play. Phoenix is a big place and hockey rink is a long drive for us even on freeway with 65mph speed limit & no traffic lights. Driving to hockey games takes us 1.5 - 2.00 hrs. It is during high traffic times. Lots of stop & go on I-10. But Unless you partake too much driving in Phoenix is pretty simple & much less stress than in Canadian cities in winter. Coming home is 45 min or less. parking is great, $25 right beside rink, $15 little longer walk. You are out of parking lot in 5 minutes & on freeway. All courteous and good traffic flow.

Go to game couple hours early, great atmosphere around rink, lots of fun pub type places to have some wings and a beverage or a meals. Chances are you will run into someone you know. Very nice rink. Excellent seats for around $100.

It is a good evening entertainment.

Uber or Lyft should work great. Use both apps and see which one is cheaper at the time.

DO NOT USE Uber Pool.

Just use UberX for a normal car, UberXL for SUV or minivan, Select for higher end cars like BMW, Merc, Genesis.

Also, just in case, Uber/Lyft stop service at Sky Harbour by Feb. 1.
